  • The RealTide Deliverable D1.2 - RAM Assessment Report provides a description of the results of a reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) assessment conducted on a generic tidal turbine. Critical systems and components will be identified.

  • As part of RealTide's Work Package 3, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore has developed a new python tool for preliminary analysis of tidal turbine blades.  Christened ‘STARBLADES’, this is a Blade Element Momentum Theory (BEMT) tool for realistic, dynamic flows.

  • At EWTEC 2019, RealTide partners will present the progress of the project's first 18 months and outline the future programme of work. We will be seeking to capture feedback from participants, particularly around how to shape the RealTide databases.

  • The third RealTide project General Assembly took place in June 2019 in Brest.  Following a project progress review and update meeting, participants visited Ushant, the island in the Fromveur Strait where power from the Sabella D10 turbine reaches shore.
